What You Need to Know
Returning again for another spring race, the Dog & Jog is back! Run by yourself, with your family and friends, and with your furry best friend running alongside you! This event is fun-focused and we want you to have a good time with all of the furry friends UCD SVM has to offer, so dont worry if you've never run a race before! Start and Finish is at Gladys Valley Hall Patio.
Registration: To register, go to the Registration page. Registration costs $20 and allows you and one pup to run in the 5k, get an awesome bandana for you and your pet, enjoy snacks and water after the race, and have an opportunity to score some prizes. Top 3 winners with their canine friends will be awarded a medal!

Bring: Identification, water, a canine running partner, vaccine records (if not already uploaded during registration) and a portable bowl for your pet!
Wear: Running clothes and shoes suited to mild cool temperature.
Other: Water will be provided to runners at the half-way point and snacks and water will be provided at the finish.
Recommended but not required: Download the "RunGo" app and we will let you know the name or our route the day of the event so you can follow along easily!

Dog Registration Requirements
Participating dogs need a copy of current vaccine records for Rabies and Parvo to be uploaded to the registration form. Dogs with missing vaccine records will not be permitted to race and refunds will not be given. All canine running companions should be well behaved around people and other dogs, any dog fighting with other dogs will be asked to leave the race/premises. This is for the safety of all human and canine participants.

Schedule
8:00 am Check-in begins on the Valley Patio. Registrants must check-in and fill out a waiver of liability to receive their running bib. After check in, head to the photo station to put your pet’s paw prints on the backdrop to help us decorate for an awesome photo op after the race!
Check-in will close at 8:45 am.

Course Routes
The race course is in development and more information will be announced prior to the race about the finalized route. Routes posted here are tentative. Water stations will be in place along the route and it will be a well marked course. We do ask if you plan on running with water to bring a refillable water container. Otherwise compostable water cups can be found at water stations en route.
Driving & Parking
Parking: Lot 50 or 56 at UC Davis (see attached parking map). Parking is free on the weekend. The race will start and end at Valley Hall.
