Who can participate?
All members of the Veterinary Community at UCD (including students, faculty, and staff) and their family and friends.

What is it?
A 5k race that starts and ends on the Veterinary campus, passing through main campus and ending on the Valley patio. We are here for a good time and it will be an event focused on fun and less on competition!

When?
Saturday April 22nd, 2023

Check in starts at 8:00 am and ends at 8:45 am

Race will start at 9:00 am

Awards and photos 9:45 -11:00am

Where?

We will start and finish on the Valley Hall Patio, next to the VMTH.

Why the registration fee?
This registration fee will help cover the cost of street reservation, supplies for the event, and safety personnel essential in keeping participants safe. This event is being revived after many years and any proceeds from the event will be put into making the event bigger and better for next year!

What is included in the registration fee?
1. Participation for you and your pet
2. A Dog & Jog bandana for you and for your pet
3. Snacks and Water for you and your pet

4. A photo op with our Dog & Jog backdrop that you and your pet will help us decorate upon check in!

5. Some surprise goodies for lucky participants

Is there a prize?

There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals awarded to the first 3 participants that cross the finish line with their pet running alongside them!

Will I get pictures of the event?

There will be a Dog n Jog backdrop that you and your pet will help us decorate upon check in, so you will have a colorful backdrop to take pictures with after completion of the race!

Can my kids participate?

Children may participate based on parent or guardian discretion. Children in strollers are also welcome.

Can my other pets participate?

Dogs in strollers may participate, participation of pets that may overheat easily or be sensitive to sound and crowded areas is discouraged.
